Il Mercato is an artisan pizza restaurant born by our passion for good food and craving for true pizza “verace” from Naples. We wanted to create a place serving authentic Italian cuisine with a pinch of creativity in a homely atmosphere.

We use a Antique Wood Fired Stone Oven made from Biscotti di Sorenti / Import from Italy and handmade in Knokke on the spot by Real Napolitan Workers.  

Most of our products and ingredients come from Puglia, a region in southern Italy famous for it’s beautiful sceneries, but mostly with its excellent red wine and olive oil. We really wanted to bring our favourite south Italian products to Belgium. Fresh produce that just can’t be found anywhere else. Like our frisa (soft but crunchy bread served with cherry tomatoes and rucola salad), our selection of wines and coffee, tomatoes, olive oil and flour. All are imported especially for us, and all have been carefully selected for recipes to give you a true southern Italian experience !!!

,De echte Napolitaanse pizza is niet glutenvrij, Enkele van onze pizza’s zijn vegetarisch. Onze allergieapp staat steeds ter uw beschikking in onze IPad. De mozzarellakaas is uit 100 % koemelk gemaakt met een puur biologisch stremsel. Vegetarisch dus.
